According to Mirror Football, Arsenal are ready to “hijack” Chelsea’s move for 18-year old striker Romelu Menama Lukaku. Last month, Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck confessed that the Belgian club were in talks with Chelsea regarding a possible transfer adding that there are other clubs in the picture.

Newcastle hope to hear from Liverpool and Arsenal within the next 10 days after accepting that Jose Enrique needs to leave.
The St James’ Park top brass were stunned by Enrique’s outburst on Twitter, when he criticised the board’s transfer policy and suggested they lacked ambition.
They have offered to make him one of their best-paid players on £50,000 a week but he has turned it down, leaving the club determined to sell him as soon as possible — if their £10million valuation is met.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew called the incident 'a mistake'.

The Spanish left back, 25, has a year to run on his contract and has refused to discuss extending it since Carroll joined Liverpool.
