Kind of makes sense though when the argument posited about stability is considered. I'd pick Arsenal over Chavscum too, were I a top class manager. Take away Roman's petro billions and the Chavs are a nothing club lacking in history and class. Plus we still have a much bigger following than those turds.

And you don't know much of that money is actually allowed to spend on what players the manager wants and not what Abramovich wants. It really wouldn't make any sense when I don't think he is looking for a highly pressurised situation a la Barcelona but how long can you wait for the best fitting job to appear?
As long as, by Dec. 31st, we're in contention for the no.3 trophy, going out in no.4 or 5 simply does not matter. He won't react in the transfer market.
