We fucked the Mata deal up unfortunately. Apparently it all fell apart when Wenger couldn't find a way to split the leftover penny on the bill three ways during the lunch that was supposed to secure the signature. I heard it was good natured but Mata had to leave for an appointment in Malaga when Wenger was only halfway through cutting with the hacksaw.

Dont be too short sighted. Next season we are guaranteed to lose 2 AM in Arshavin and Rosicky. Yes they are no longer in our starting eleven but an important first team players / bench players nevertheless. Add Nasri to that list and we will be very short of AM.Balague
