so chelsea selling sturridge for £12m and bringing in ba for £7m.

i say thats a good deal. make profit and improve quality.

anyone who says ffp isn't affecting teams like chelsea are clearly mistaken. usually they'd spunk £20m on a player when things arent going to plan but now they're going for the cheaper more shrewd deal.

letting frank and ash leave next summer too. cutting that wage bill down.

wenger and board hoped ffp would be the kingpin to help us turn into a super club. well thats fallen flat on its arse.

on top of that this season spurs are winning games they'd usually have drawn/lost last year.

    bye

I don't know how release clauses are set but Ba is worth at least twice as much as 7m.

clearly everything goes through him. he was magnificent in the 7-5 vs reading. created absolutely everything.

if wenger had heard of the word rotation we'd probably have better creativity in the final 3rd. we have arshavin, rosicky and cazorla fighting for the AM role but wenger decides to play arshavin on the wing and rosicky seems to have gone awol.

a manager who persists with ramsey but doesnt give an experienced player like arshavin a chance

get arshavin tied down asap. cant be letting another quality player go.
Id definitely keep Arshavin for sure. As you say, hes still got it. Quality player but for some reason known only to Wenger, the Russian isnt played despite being better than Gerv and Ramsey

But Sneijder can play in the Arteta role and do it much more effectively. He wouldnt be the king of the 5 yard sideway passes.

    So Liverpool have bought Sturridge

Chelsea are on the verge of getting Ba

And its only the 2nd day of the Transfer window.

Whats Wenger doing? Sitting on his arse counting his money as the club goes down the shitter

Arsenal’s current longest serving player Johan Djourou, could leave the club on loan in January after Hannover 96 confirmed interest in the Swiss defender.
The 25-year-old has made just two appearances for the Gunners this season and has fallen behind Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker in the pecking order.

Staying and going? Johan Djourou could be on his way out while Walcott could stay
Hannover coach Jorg Schmadtke, told German newspaper Bild: ‘I am able to confirm that we are very interested in bringing Johan Djourou to the AWD-Arena.
‘He is on our short list of names and there have been some concrete talks with Arsenal going on.
‘We do intend to loan the player first until the end of the season and we will make a decision on his future.’

The problem we have is that the likes of Djourou, Chamakh and Bendy are on such healthy wages that clubs are frightened to buy them and also maintain their salary expectations.

This is one of the reasons why we can't shift the dross. We have a lot of it too...and for all our talk of being financially prudent, it's ludicrous that we have around 6 players who are surplus to requirements yet command 60K per week. Sad thing is they are all rubbish players too.

I can see Gervinho going the same way, Arsene should swallow his pride and sell the boy this summer before his stock is really low.

We really have clowns running the club esp when they let things like this happen.

    According to Talkshite.

Arsenal could make a renewed bid to sign long-standing target Mario Gotze after reports in Germany revealed that the Borussia Dortmund playmaker has a £30m release fee clause in his contract.

Gotze, 20, is regarded as the brightest young player in German football after helping Dortmund to back-to-back Bundesliga titles.

Arsenal offered the German champions £32m for the midfielder in the summer of 2011 but the bid was rejected.

Gotze signed an improved deal with Dortmund in March, tying him to the club until 2016.

And according to BILD, the new contract includes a buyout clause of £30m - £2m less than the figure Arsenal offered last year.

But the clause expires next July and interested clubs are required to submit a written offer by the end of April 2013.

Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich are also long-term fans of the 20-year-old and could rival Arsenal for his signature.
