Bergkamp was technically superior, some of his passing was sublime, and RVP can't do that. I remember some outstanding assists for Ljungberg at the tail end of the 01-02 season which helped us wrap up the league. Overall the better player IMO.
The biggest issue for me was not using the RVP money to buy a really top quality striker. Giroud is decent, but you can't replace very good players with simply good ones, that's regression.

Tbf RVP was/is way more productive than Bergkamp. He was the sole reason we didn't finish mid table last season. Bergkamp had way better players around him.
It's unbelievable that we won fuck all with RVP. I mean he's the best striker in the league by a mile and top 5 in Europe.
Such an utterance should be a bannable offence, imo.
I wouldn't even pass that as wumming.
