Fair enough but salary wasn't the only issue.
He's gone from a club who won't win anything and aren't showing any ambition to do so to a club who will and are.
If you were carrying the team you worked in and saw the company making your job harder each year by getting rid of other key staff and you got an offer from a company who were well resourced and you could see were ambitious.
Like MO said, we're the bitter ex. Rationally there's nothing wrong with RvP's decision, most of us would have done the exact same thing presented with the state of the club and the options in front of us.
