In the old days you could sign players thoughout the whole season and I personally thought it was great, he never bitched then. Don't see the point of a transfer window.
The problem is he won't sign players so naturally he doesn't want other teams to, but it's part and parcel of football and rather than whining about it (he seems to find new things to whine about regularly) maybe he should cast an eye on his average squad and stop talking about two players in each position when 3 quarters of them aren't even fit to be playing for us (no pun intended)!
