is it too much to ask just to be a normal club? i.e. signing players to create a bit of excitement, players deemed surplus to requirements leave, we change our tactics from time to time so we have something fresh to talk about.

    stale, stale, stale. how boring.

The price we pay for so called "self sustainability".

You have this idea that Wenger chooses to shop in the bargain bin whereas I have the idea that he's forced to. Why you think any manager would choose to shop in the bargain bin is beyond me.
Nope, he's always bought cheaper players, never spent big on a world class striker as such.....and he won't now.

Nasri was potential, he wasn't a proven player when we signed him. We've got our strikers, he signed two last summer.

Yes, Wenger has always been cheap and always wanted to pay lower rates than the going market rate, he doesn't like spending money, it's never the answer in his view.

With Wenger and co around it obviously is, he's not a football fan and doesn't understand what excitement is, to him it's all about saving money, building a team with kids...success isn't that high on the agenda either these days.

I'll never forget the day we signed Bergkamp, Overmars and Campbell...those were great days for the club and they really felt special.....we'll never see that again under him.

Yes, I know how much Wenger spends on players. We all know.

I'm saying he's cheap because he's forced to be. You're saying he's cheap because he likes being cheap.

I guess we'll only find out if our next manager starts splashing the cash.

I just find the idea of Wenger stock piling a shit load of cash so our next manager can spend it ridiculous and therefore likely untrue. Time will tell.

This getting embarssing now really! Everton have spent 7 Mil on a dutch midfield player, and they are see as the tramps of the EPL, yet even they somehow find the dough to buy players, how many players did they sign last January? Must have been 5-6 players or am i thinking August 2012.
