FFS Letters. He is like 10 years old and just signed long-term. I'm sure he's had plenty of opportunity to get out up to now. This is Arsenal not some Ryman League plodders. He's paid well and this is only his second full season. 'Excusing' players in such a way is so lame.
Whether he will be allowed to stay is another matter. A 50mill bid a couple of years down the line and he'll be gone. They'll probably move his locker to the new club for him. He's our prize (some might say only) asset and assets are for stripping.
