I can't stand Ramsey but today he's done what's needed and asked of him. No mis-controls, has dwindled on the ball and no sloppy passing. It's all been quick movement, open when needed give and go play.

It's not just the defence. It's Giroud failing to put us a goal ahed. It's theo refusing to run. It's Ramsey passing back when we have players committed. It's every sloppy pass or shit cross. Even good defences make mistakes, with ours the guys in front of them have to be doing it better. They aren't.

That said, how shit are the spuds. We butch slapped them the whole half and then even scored a couple for them. We could easily get a coup,e of goals next 45 minutes if we just stop fucking around.

Vermaelen's awareness, I remember many Ajax fans saying how, they couldn't believe Arsenal could pay that much for him.

To be fair he does have the characteristics and some of the necessary traits to become a top defender. This was evidenced by his first season here.

At another team and manager that actually practices and prioritises defending he may actually be quite decent.
