It's not just the transfer fees as well, they've got a whole squad earning CL level wages if reports are to go by. Remy and Cesar are allegedly on 80 K and then there's the likes of Park, Fabio, Green, SWP, Boswinga etc etc all likely on hefty deals. They're not going to be able to shift those players if they go down and if Fernandes decides to leave they're screwed.
Obviously Crooknapp will do a runner before the shit hits the fan.

I got slated time and time again here for being negative after a win. How many times in recent months have people come on here and said "fuck the peformance, all i care about is the 3 points". Burying their head in the sand and only living in the moment.
Well, my friends, there is a reason I cared about the peformances because THIS was always going to fuckin happen. It was just a case of when ! Hopefully now these blinkered fans will see that I was always looking at the bigger picture instead of being deluded. Mayby, just mayby, now so will they. I doubt it though.
