martin oneil has been sacked as sunderland manager.
good, the jumped up little prick
Go, Rafa, Go!
Why do it now though? Should have waited till the end of the season or done in January.
They're in a relegation dogfight, sacking him now isn't going to help them get out of it. Short of a Mourinho or Ferguson deciding to join tomorrow, they won't be able to suddenly turn around their fortunes in that short of a timeframe required to ensure their survival.
Either way I hope they go down. Joke of a club and manager. To think about 10 years ago he was seriously considered as the Wenger/Ferguson successor.
Di Canio, Dominic Matteo, Curbs, Mark Hughes, McLeish and Poyet in the frame no doubt![]()
Will Di Canio, Matteo and Poyet be prepared to go to that neck of the woods? It's a bit grim up there.
It'll be a safe/boring choice like a Hughes or Mcleish who'd be prepared to stifle through the muck of Championship football for the next few seasons if need be.
Also like QPR, another club that will be in serious financial trouble if they fall into the Championship and their owner does a runner.
They've spent a treasure there on fees (Steven Fletcher 14 million) and wages under Bruce and MON - absolutely shocking stuff.
Mignolet worth a sniff I say.
Yeah I would have Mignolet here.

...."and a high profile sacking......."
This really is the pits for football.....
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
