The problem with Giroud is that he's only scored in 8 premier league games this season, as he got a double against Newcastle, West Ham and Fulham. Moreover, his goals have only won (I think) 2 premier league points for us this season. I know the 2nd stat is very crude in a way, but I think simply looking at his overall goal stats and assists can be a bit misleading.

i think you're confused.
He wasn't the only player who's form has nosedived in the last month or so. Giroud, Cazorla, Wilshere, Arteta etc have all been to varying degrees somewhat crap recently.
Our attack has been piss weak this season.
The defence will be the reason we make the top 4.

We're a workman-like team now, it's just a shame we've lost any flair we had up front. It's painful watching us trying to construct an attack these days.
Question: As our lead/main striker, how many points has Giroud won us this season?
He's contributed to all the games he's played in, same as everyone else.
