That would seemingly rule out Mourinho and especially Moyes, who has little and not so successful European experience. "Small pool" as well. Sounds like Wenget's going home.Manchester United chief executive David Gill, speaking to MUTV: "We have to look forward now and I think any manager coming in will inherit a great squad and great staff around him. It is a dream job. I won't speculate on the announcement but I think we will move relatively quickly.
"In Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex we got in managers who got involved in all aspects of the club. That degree of loyalty is crucial to the success of Manchester United. He (the next manager) needs the required football experience in terms of domestic and European requirements, so it is a small pool."
SSN got Moyes in pole position (hope he goes there, he's awlful)
Can you imagine Wenger having to go upstairs and call Ferguson "boss"? They'd be tearing skin off each other within the first week. Not sure anyone but a total yes man can work at Utd now if Ferguson is still on the scene in any meaningful way. It's okay saying there can be a bedding-in period but Ferguson would have to go after that or else the bedding in would just be training a manager to do what he's instructed from above. What is Avram Grant up to? He has Euro experience and is very domesticated.

The Times are reporting Moyes will be named as the new manager in the next 24 hours.
That's a bloody disaster for Manure fans!![]()
It can't be true because he has no European experience.

If Everton are telling the truth about there being no contact from Utd then it can't be Moyes. Not unless Utd have been negotiating behind their backs. Of course they aren't obliged to tell the truth but it would be easier to say nothing rather than lie about it.
