Why can't Wenger see that French players are all massively shit these days?

David Villa, 31, is definitely coming to the Premier League this summer - Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are all keen on the Barcelona striker.

Deals kick in next year, little bit waiting period.

Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has dropped a broad hint that he could be on his way to Arsenal this summer.
The classy France international emerged as a target for Arsenal when Gunners chief Arsene Wenger confirmed his admiration for the player.
Earlier in the week, Grenier confirmed he had held talks about his future with Lyon boss Remi Garde, but claimed he was focused on the national side.
However, he has now confirmed his mind has pretty much been made up - with Arsenal certainly in the frame to secure his signature.
"I have more or less made a decision about which club I want to join," Grenier said. "I have made the choice for sporting reasons above all. Arsenal? It could well be them.
"There would be competition for places, but you get that at all big clubs and it does not stop me making my decision.
"I am still young, but I have always set myself targets and I do everything possible to exceed them."

Did the usual Youtube research and I can see why he reminds Wenger of Nasri. Looks like a Wenger type signing and he has talent. You can't wait around too long for these type of players to make a huge impact because the price just goes up if they start to really blossom. Ribery, Hazard, Benzema and Essien are examples of that.

Wenger usually gets it right with these sort of players. It's the unknown French league players that are in their mid 20s or older we should worry about. Gervinho, Chamakh, Giroud, Kosienly...the older rough around the edges players that can either blossom quickly or just tank.

Edit: My main concern is where is this kid going to play? If Wenger tries to play him on the flanks then I think it's a mistake. He doesn't look like and out and out power dribbler. He's getting compared to Juninho a lot. The kid can hit a freekick from the looks of things.
