Don't worry Fed, you'll beat Nadal at Madrid and win the French Open.

Wengerbabies, it's true. Can't see the Murray Masters appearing any time soon.

Genuine tear worthy moment there but showed his strength to come back from that to win the biggest match of all.

Federer as much as I like him may have pubber a couple of slams in his career but in the big one, Olympics, he flopped hard. A shame he will always be known as Murrays bitch

Pretty much. Federer supposedly the best ever, but has a woeful losing record against his two biggest rivals.

When Federer was dominating, Nadal was about 12 and had just come on to the scene. His biggest rivals were a fading Hewitt, a talented Russian in Safin who was more interested in partying, a guy with one shot in Roddick and pub-teamers like Davydenko, Henman and Rusedski. These guys would probably be ranked outside the top 30 in this era.

As you said, he's flopped hard twice in the Olympics. He's even said himself it's the one he wants the most, so Fed fan girls can't make any excuses.

True tennis fans will remember this as the Muzza era, with a good supporting cast in Nadal, Djokovic, Del Potro and Bogdanovich.

If you're going to say that Federer doesn't deserve to be spoken as one of the greatest ever, then surely the same applies to Sampras? Look at some of the apparent jobbers he beat in some of his finals - Cedric freakin' Pioline?! - yet he's still rightly venerated. You Can Only Beat Who Is Put In Front Of You..
