    Anderson MOTM

Cant complain. Would have given to Agar as he went above and beyond what he's in the team for.

Great match. Don't understand how it remained so close given the gulf in quality between in the teams but it made for an exciting match. Superb knock from Bell and great bowling from Anderson. Rest of the side will need to pick up their performances. If some of them do, they'll blow the Aussies away. As much as people are trying to hype it up as a big sporting success, Australia are utter garbage and will roll over if facing serious quality.

Test cricket is the greatest thing in the history of the world. With the possible exception of Co-Op rotisserie chicken.

Yes, it all seems to be about individual performances from this Australia side doesn't it? I don't think they are much better as a team than the Packer-ravaged 1981 side in honesty

    2 poor quality teams.

3 genuine world class players and England had 2 of them and that's why they won

It's England, a lot is needed for us to be able to ruthlessly take Australia apart. And put away No. 11's!

Anyway, nine more test matches to go.

I like khawaja. Talk of him coming in for Australia at no.3.

Bresnan in for Finn sounds like a good idea too. 2 wickets and 40 runs an innings versus outside chance of 5 wickets.

Never been a Bresnan fan, but Finn hasn't been in good form. Maybe send him away for some County cricket and let him play himself into form. Would rather a proper bowler than another bowling all-rounder like Bresnan. Not sure what names are out there these days other than Onions and Tremlett as alternatives.

Also, batting wasn't too assured, but doubt they'll look to make any changes just yet given we did win in the end.
