We know bids can take a while to get to the press, because they only reported us bidding for Suarez about 6 days after we actually bid. Maybe fabregas was first choice, said no amd they went for thiago amd are now going back to fabregas?

Fair point but he could be talking because he missed out on thiago, so wants to show united fans that he is in control/cesc was always first choice.

As people say with wenger/board they mention names to appease the fans, moyes could be too
