Hoping he gets even better next season. We will need him to as we're getting no striker.
He's working on his finishing but he needs to work on his dribbling this season and how to beat a man. I seriously doubt he has it in him because I've never seen a player that wasn't a natural dribbler improve so drastically. It's going to be another frustrating season unless Wenger corrects the balance on the wings and midfield.
Around the final third he'll contribute a lot but he won't create much further down the field unless he learns how to properly beat a man with his dribbling. I still maintain he should be playing as a striker where he's always in the danger zone and defenders are worried.
You say that now but when the season kicks off.....
My expectations are also low but I can't help but be disappointed when the reality of it kicks in. As ultimately I want to be proven wrong.
I'm going out on a limb and predicting a 4th place finish. For Walcott, I predict he'll be inconsistent. If he could improve on the very basics he'd be half decent. He's a luxury player, which was okay when we had talent around him. Now we actually need him on a regular basis, a bad situation to be in.

No ones going to be brilliant at all aspects of the game.
Isn't the best dribbler but none of our players cos we don't play that way. We would rather pass our way around the opposition than dribble past them.
Theo's strengths far outweigh his weaknesses though. Can't ask for much more than what he's given us last 2 seasons and he stopped the trend and is the first quality player to not desert us
What's a 'luxury' player? Is it like a luxury car owned by a family man struggling to pay rent? A flashy two seater Ferrari or something? He's a luxury player, which was okay when we had talent around him. Now we actually need him on a regular basis, a bad situation to be in.
Makes no sense for you to describe Theo in those terms.
I agree, he represents a reversal of the trend for players to jump ship. Whether this was his choice or the chavs and city didn't want him we don't know. But it's essential he concentrates on the basics like passing and positional play if he wants to develop beyond a random type of player who achieves as much by accident as design. Same with Gervinho, they are similar half players.
