Half his goals are +1s of no consequence and it was only towards the end of last season he started to score a few valuable goals to rescue an otherwise very ordinary set of statistics. But, as I have stated, it's not just about the goals he scores. It's also about the way the play breaks down around him 9 times out of 10. Or his terrible crossing, bar the 1 in 10. Or his dreadful positional play. And the way he can be anonymous for the whole 90 minutes. Like Giroud he's good enough if the height of our ambition is 4th. If we want to push on we'll need better players than Walcott.
