Perhaps but why would he come out and say Spurs have dropped out, we said we'd bid and didn't and Shaktar are the only club who have an offer on the table. It's hardly going to drive up the price.

None of that matters. If this kid is regarded as the next big thing then the top clubs would sign him regardless of squad size and price.

Monaco are considering Nani for £14m, an extra bit of pocket change and they can have Bernard.

I doubt Rooney would go abroad, Chelsea are trying to buy him. Plus there's still a month of the window remaining so there's still time for bids.

Suarez wants Champs Lge so that rules out Monaco. I also reckon other clubs are watching our situation and might enter the race for Suarez once it looks like Liverpool will sell.
