you've got the wrong end of the stick. im not comparing the two im saying if walcott was in the invincibles team he would get more goals, assists and would look better. hence would break records (he was just the first record that came into my head). he's working with a load of shit at the mo and has been for pretty much all his career, and the players you work with affect how you play. you're only as good as your team mates and theo's has been damn right shocking.

in no way am i saying he's better than wright, that would be bloody stupid. wright is a fucking legend.

Was comparing Young not on the basis of how he plays in comparison to Walcott but more as a mythical talent. The idea of Young was a lot bigger than the reality that unfolded. Same with Walcott, he's still surfing on all that potential he had when he joined and on that England call-up as the next big thing. But yes, playing off the shoulder of the defender and getting in behind is what Walcott ought to be doing but Wenger doesn't play that way. Given how Wenger sets things up we'd be far better off with a player who could retain the ball, beat his man and get some consistent crossing going. The final ball has been our problem for years, when it used to be our greatest strength. The reason we've gone to hell in that area of the pitch is because the quality has dropped so sharply. I'd say it's not so unlucky Walcott has to play with inferior players as much as him being one of those inferior players. And now we're seeing the same with Ox who looks half the player he was when he signed.

I guess its just due to the in-fighting at Liverpool, and with Bale being a world record bid that the Rooney deal is given less air-time.

I can't go into it all, but if you consider why United kept bidding, it'll make sense of what Cesc's people were trying to do.

Wright was an exceptional player, sorry but Walcott isn't at the same level and never will be, his finishing was exceptional and he scored a hatful of goals in a team with no creativity. He's a legend in my eyes.
