I hope we don't buy him tbh. Better for the game and would probably be a colossal waste of money or just be a poisonous runt who will leave next season after helping us win nothing like the last mercenaries.

To me, this just seem like one desperate last effort to try and get other clubs involved, by saying emphatically that he won't be going to the club most closely linked with him.
Has a club ever been so public in trying to ward off another club from their player? It's crazy.
Also, it might teach arsene a lesson. FFS, typical that though.
I hope to fuck it's true, not because of anything that has happened, not because it's Arsenal, not because it's Suarez, just that it was about time a football club stood their ground, reclaimed some sort of power and authority over a player and him and his agent were royally slapped down.
But I just can't see it happening.
To come out and say he isn't for sale to another PL club is one thing, but not for sale to anyone? Risky.
[You can cite Tevez and City, but they can afford to do it ten times over both financially and on the pitch, few/no others can. And it is pretty much the only high profile example]
John Henry is a dick.
That's why Billy Beane wouldn't work for him.
id love to see you stand up to a player too. be nice to remind them who is boss. however, why does it have to be at our expense lol. for years, we have had people tell us that we have to sell fabregas, rvp etc ebcause its right for them, yet when we try and sign someone, the media especially hope for liverpool to stand up to player power. it had to be us that gets them to stand up to players
This is what I find weird about it - he has already been asked to train alone (we think), so that must suggest an idea of him being a disruptive influence? Is it just a blind hope that attitude will be rid of itself once the window closes? Could be just as 'ludicrous' an idea as selling him to us.
we know exactly what type of person suarez is. if you dont sell him this window, he wont just get on with it. he will sulk to high heaven. the only solution is to sell him, its gone to far now.
This transfer is a mess, and its disruptive for all parties involved. I would like to see us move on to other targets, before they are no longer available, and before the window shuts. As it stands, our squad isnt good enough, and will not last the 60 or so games that we may end up playing in the coming season.
