Lady Bracewell-Smith appeared to share the frustration of fans that Arsenal’s healthy bank balance has yet to be utilised in the transfer market, with a squad hampered by injuries and lack of reinforcements going down 3-1 at home to Villa.
In tweets later deleted from her account, she claimed her decision to sell her stake in the club to Kroenke in 2011 had been a mistake,
She also called for former chief executive David Dein to return to the club and demanded a greater role for shareholder Alisher Usmanov.
‘What a shame the board recommended a Kroenke takeover and paid Rothchilds 3m fee,’ she wrote.
‘And how deeply I regret selling to Kroenke. Bring David Dein and give Usmanov representation on the board if we are to have success going forward.’
We better not go back there with a silly bid! We're going to piss all the money up the wall with panic buys. If we spend over £20 for this guy someone needs to take Wenger to town about not being able to find quality. That's a piss take. What are our scouts doing? Newcastle paid under £5m for this guy!
2 weeks of proper transfer muppetry starts here.![]()
