Seriously though, Benzema at his best is pretty awlsome. And he does like dropping deep, so could theoretically play with Giroud at times.

It all seems less realistic than Suarez though. But as a great man above pointed out, Real Madrid are a bit mental and he was little bit booed by the fans at the weekend. Hopefully more booing on the weekend will speed up the transfer. It would certainly be more useful than our negotiations.

Excellent player when on form but I don't think £40M would be a wise investment. We need a more out-and-out goalscorer/creator. Higuain would have fit the bill but obviously that's too late now...

Suarez or a creative winger + Higuain would have been ideal.

There are reports that Real don't want to sell him as it would leave them short on strikers. Moreover Benzema himself doesn't want to leave Madrid for us.
