I posted some time earlier that the pantomime show that is our club is like an episode of the Muppet show. So I have decided to cast the characters with some from the club and a few from GW. Most just choose themselves. Stan and Sir Chips are the 2 old geezers up in the stands with Wenger as Kermit obviously but based on my own analysis of the personalities on GW I have nominated NQ and Cripps as Bert and Ernie (they really like each other wjile pretending not to get along) while Ollie is the count as he sucks the hope out of me. HCZ as Grover. I need some suggestions for Miss Piggy (was thinking Zimm) and Big bird has to be Josh Gooner. Thoughts?

The season starts now! Wenger wants his men to kick on
Wenger: 'For us the season can take off at this point. It’s a very important game tomorrow to respond to Villa game. It’s very important to recover very quickly. We play Wednesday night, Saturday morning. We must get energy, dynamic, focus straight back.

'Ideally we’d rather have our squad in place before start of season. I am a big fan of closing the window once the season has started. It makes sense. We work very hard on it, it didn’t come off as quickly and well as we wanted. In football you have to deal with any situation and be patient.

'As long as window until the last minute anything can happen. You would be surprised how early we acted. It’s a question of patience. Sometimes nothing happens for five six weeks then sometimes in 24 hours you can do five, six good deals. It’s not predictable.'

Wenger's press conference this morning

Freebies take 24 hours, big money signings can take up to 2-3 weeks, so looks like more free transfers or unattached players. Why not asky Denis to come out of retirement and Overmars. Our club is a joke and has no class or standards anymore. He will be sitting in his press conference with so much confidence after beating fenerbache. I can see us losing tomorrow anyway.
