How bad were his injuries? He should be entering the prime years of his career for a DM. No idea why he'd settle for a squad role. If he can still run around quickly and kick opponents I'd take him.

Good because that's all you are getting. He'll play a few games and then get crocked for two years, ideal for us.

He missed the entire 11/12 season and only managed something like 20 games last season.

I think he'd probably settle for a squad role because he knows he's heading for the nackers yard and we're his best option right now.

He was a squaddie for Milan and never good enough to be better even when they were ageing, don't see why he should be anything more than a squad player right now.
