2. We only look at bargain basement buys, ie french players on free transfers, hence Sanogo and possibly Flamini

While I look in envy at Spurs, not only in the players they have signed and the money they have spent, but their efficencey and pro active approach in sealing deals with top quality players imo deserves a round of applauds. On the other side of the tracks, our scouts or lack of them are still looking to find the pub players from Ligue 1 one of the weakest leagues in European football, another french unknown player who gets a massive contract and is absolutley crap. Wenger you cuunt, with all the extra TV money revenue and all the liquid assets of the club, you are telling me it's diificult to sign a marquee player or 3? The days of finding a Vieiria or Anelka are long gone, it's been tried and tested and failed for 8 freaking empty trophy cabinet seasons. I guess the Wenger Rites and the Pro Wengers are happy as they get see to Champions league games. Our rivals play in the Europa League and they can still attract top players. The question I asky myself is do these top players want to player for Arsenal or more importantly a manager? I think not as it appears that Chelsea and Mourinho and now Spurs and AVB are more attrative to players, we are a has been club in the dark ages and off our past glory, we are turning in to another Liverpool although with the greatest respect without any European trophies. So you envy sp*rs, who has bought unproven/unknown players from the french, belgian, dutch, italian & brazilian league? But hate on us if we buy the same kind of players from the same leagues... Makes sense

Yeah I am envy and they have bought in top quality players, the team will take a little time to gel together but when they do this Spurs side will finish above Arsenal and possibly challenge for the title. Give them a few a weeks to get to know each other play a few games, they'll soon be firing on ally cylinders. You get 3 points for a win, doesnt matter if you win 10-0 or 1-0 by a penalty so your point has no real creditbility.
They'll be nowhere near the title. But frustratingly their squad is looking more balanced than ours, long hard scrap ahead of us this season...
The thing is, our team isn't that bad compared to theirs, it's just that in terms of a squad overall, they're much stronger all over the pitch. One injury to Walcott and we're relying on reserve players. We had a golden opportunity to widen the gap and perhaps challenge the top 2 if we had made 3-4 quality signings like Cesar/Gustavo/Bernard/Jovetic/Higuain .
Wenger has for the past 8 season gone in to the season with the mentality of gaining 4th place or higher, as he knows the the day he starts signing 60 million pounds of players, the board and the fans will expect silverware and I think at his ripe old age of late 60's, he is in a comfort zone and knows how to get 4th place. So he doesnt have to worry about the pressure of winning the EPL or the UCL as he knows and the board knows the squad is not strong enough. They are in tune that yes we have a good squad for UCL and that is all we require. There is no winners mentaility at Arsenal anymore, we simply exist to earn money from UCL, SKY and BT money apart from the scandalous ST pricing. This mindset will not change unless that clamy has been deluded french cuunt is sent packing back to Le France, a vastly much more wealthier man.
