Soldado scored 30 goals and 5 assists in 41 starts last season, Giroud scored 17 goals and 10 assists in 33 starts last season. The ratios aren't that much different. Let's not forget it was Giroud's first season in a new league, new team etc, is two years younger and will only improve this season. IMO La Liga is also easier than the Premiership but that's another debate.
Let's wait to see how Paulinho does playing week in, week out in a competitive league before we all start jizzing over him. No doubt people wet themselves over Spurs signing Lloris, Dembele, Vertonghen etc last season but we still finished ahead of them and they're losing a far more integral player this time around.
I believe Eriksen is a good buy but Cazorla is comfortably better than him (at the moment) and while he will probably grow to be a better player in future, we want players that are ready to come in and better our first team now. The rest, the likes of Capoue, Chadli, Chiriches are nothing spectacular.
