i saw some newspaper articles last night about how the board were worried that we wouldnt actually sign anyone. (think the mirror had it as main story) and it leaves me wondering, why the board arent actually doing anything baout it? they went above wenger and sold nasri, so why cant they do it the other way round and add an extra 10 million to a bid without wengers say so?

im not excusing wenger, as i think this summer has shown that he sadly needs to leave this club now, but the board release these stories taht they are worried, yet dont do anything about it?

the only thing that ill say is that like QPR last year, signing a ton of players in a short time can cause problems. it can go two years, really badly wrong, or they win the league etc. its hard to say right now, first two games only won because of penalties. would i have taken the players they have signed at the begining of the summer? no. would i now? of course.

i have a feeling that they will get this right, but if it goes wrong, it ruins them for a long time. so much money spent, and if they fail to get CL thats them done for. they wont have a bale to sell for world record fees to cover their spending. and they want a new stadium. they've done the go big or go home method, i think it will pay off for them sadly, but if they fail for top four this year, they are fucked.
