as i said earlier it makes sense in that scenario but in the main, they'll be in the same side together. santi is not useful out wide. pelligrini struggle to use him on the wing and found his best position centrally at malaga. this feels like arsenal spending one someone who we dont really need. a striker was the most important thing. if we can blow 42m on ozil then another few for higuain or 10 extra for suarez shouldve happened. i look forward to seeing ozil but i dont see how our first eleven lines up and improves on last years lack of balance.

Ozil could make Giroud a more effective striker, maybe that's the plan. Here's the truth, we need somebody better than Walcott to tighten up everything in the final third. Nobody will like that but it's true, we give the ball away too much in that area. Add Di Maria into this and it might be enough to stick with Giroud.

i dunno, it feels like the whole barsenalona thing again. santi, ozil, jack, ramsey, arteta, rosicky - all quite similar. maybe podolski and feo will play as striker more often, with ox on the right when he's back.
