I hope he doesn't do that. Cazorla should play there and with Ozil in the middle, it will mean he doesn't have to track so far to the centre to pick up the ball. As I read somewhere, Cazorla and Ozil need to play close together.

I hope not. The team should be built around Ozil and hopefully he'll play the AM role/2nd Striker.

There is no denying that Santi is superb in that position but I reckon he can make the left hand side his own and will put in decent performances once he finally beds down there.

Ozil's assist stats have been superb over the past 3 years and I reckon he will chip in with a healthy goal return too once he aclimatises to PL.

IMHO Ozil has the ability & potential to surpass Cesc's stats when he was with us...it's a big task but he is more than capable of it.

he struggled in that position at malaga too until he put into the middle where he began to really shine. I don't think the left works well for santi.

it's interesting to read that ozil played on the left, very effectively, earlier in his career so it could be an option to make sure we don't lose too much from either player.
