It's time for Walcott to step up now, isn't it? Wenger's hand will be forced here anyway. If he had been desperate for a striker he would have paid the £3mill for Ba and not fucked around. He must already view Walcott as a viable alternative, given that Podolski is out until the January window anyway. If Giroud gets injured Walcott will play up top. Can't actually see Wenger delivering on his nasty threat to use Bendtner.

It's obvious Wenget wanted a striker having gone for Higuan, Suarez and finally Ba, so I think he might try for someone in January.
