Arsenal fans will be licking their lips in anticipation after Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere starred on the international stage before they link-up in the Premier League.

In terms of gettin rid of the shit and making a financial statement of intent, I would say we got it spot on.

However, we needed a striker to support giroud and Walcott, it was a must.
So we have fallen short in terms of squad depth again.

I like flamini anyway so it's good to see him back and bollocking the defence

Yes the thought of Flamini holding them against the wall in the dressing room makes me orgasm tbf.

Hopefully with a bit of luck we can ride the striker situation out until january.

A striker would have made it ideal , an injury to Giroud right now would be terrible as we'd have to rely on Sanogo/cunt Bendtner but overall it was fairly relieving at the end.

Özil is a world-class player, who I'd never had of thought would join us.

Flamini is a great back up player to have, and his performance against the Spuds showed he can still do a good job. He's a leader , orders players around him, and stays back and defends non-stop. We've missed a player of his stature ever since he left, and now he's back , its like he never left.

Viviano, nearly 30 and an experienced back up , a loan deal so if he's good we can sign him up. Not much else to it really.

The board though, needs a complete overhaul of their transfer policies, be like City and sign all of our players before August.

Jack always seems to run into too many challenges for his own good, most often than not, he over-runs his run forward and clatters into someone, no wonder he's always broken.

If only we got in a top striker, it would have been near perfect.

Although underwhelmed by Flamini, the more I see him and hear him talk the more I warm to the idea of his return. We got in a keeper to give chesney some comp, and importantly, got rid of dead wood.

Then we broke our transfer record

    Not bad.
I give it 6/10. Might turn in to a 7 in hindsight if we get the 2008 Flamini version.

Probably needed 1 or 2 more in terms of depth but I'm satisfied for now at least, which is mainly down to signing Özil.

Sanogo is a punt, we'll see if he's any good or not.

Flamini was underwhelming and a classic bargain bin pick up, but he's a scrote and certainly adds some beef to the midfield.

Viviano hopefully gives Chesney the drive to keep on improving.

Özil is little bit special and hopefully represents a watershed moment for us in the transfer market.

I guess that's what's so good about football really, that it carries enough emotional heft to convince a man to spend the bulk of his Monday evening trying to get a potato on television, purely to wind up some Tottenham fans he will never meet.
