I think we should try to win the game, not just sit back but I wouldn't be distraught with a point. If we went into the Europa league a small part of me wouldn't mind as we can actually win that tournament...and we never have.

The following season we should be in a better position to win the CL......assuming we don't go into flog our best players mode.

Ciggie is injured again I see

Maybe if he looked after his health better he'd get less injuries.

No matter he's not first choice at the moment anyway with the strength we have in our midfield.

Probably weakens the whole body, along with the fish and chips and doner kebabs he probably eats after the match.

I imagine if he wasn't a footballer he'd be what you might term a "couch potato".

I agree we should go for it. 3 points here then another win against the whipping boys and the Napoli game is a dead rubber. Easier said than done of course, this Dortmund side is little bit good but I think we were good enough in the first match for a result so I don't see why we can't get one 2nd time of asking.

It doesn't help that Marseille are shite, at least if the worst team in the group can pick up a point here or there against a rival it makes all the difference, but now the margin between qualifying and going out is very fine. I think it's possible for us to get 10 points and still go out at this rate.

NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

Although we only normally have two knock out games anyway so perhaps the burden isnt so great.

Same team as Liverpool as we dont have much choice other than perhaps swapping left backs which is kinda pointless unless gibbs isnt fully fit.

I am looking forward to when Walcott is fit though as I can imagine his runs being fed by Ozil and Cazorla will cause havoc.
I'm looking forward to having Walcott and Giroud in the same attack again - with just one or the other you could probably improve your chances against them by either defending deep against Walcott or playing a high line against Giroud, but with both of them in the same line-up then defending deep or high will always play into one of their hands...
