Wenget has never been shy of putting the very best youngsters in at the deep end, so there must be something about this guy holding him back. He's 21 and in Arsenal years that's fairly late in terms of first team development.
It's likely he could just be another reserve team legend who wasn't quite up to scratch but we'll see.

Nearly all of our young players have this issue (especially when they are close to join first team squad).

I hadn't realised he was that old. To put it into perspective he is a year younger than Wilshere who is very much judged as a grown man and senior player. I'd be surprised if he managed to forge a career here at this point, particularly with the position he plays in and the amount of talent we have in those positions.
Dennis Bendtner is available for this so presumably he'll start.
Think we should offer the FA some mad props for calling this on a Friday and not 5pm Sunday. Gives the lads a fighting chance of travelling to Southampton in time for the Tuesday game.

Really hope he starts. Didn't see any of the preseason games so would quite like to see how he gets on. Supposed to be ridiculously talented for 16.
