I think Ozil has under performed.

But today he's played some excellent passes from hospital positions where he's received the ball.

He makes excellent passes that help keep possession on the final third and help open teams up but we just have no runners to play on the shoulder of their last defender.

It's a huge shame and that's why I really though we've cocked up this January having lost our one proper pacey player and not made a buy to change that and bring some pace into the side

As mentioned before our slow paced attack just doesn't suit Ozil's talents, stick him in a counter attacking team and he excels, he uses his pace and skills to drive at and beat players and then create chances for others. Stick him in a team like ours and all he can do is try and find some clever passes hoping his teammates make good runs until they get crowded out.

Please bring counter attacking football back.
