Okay HT. Worst half for years. Liverpool's best for years. Once in a blue moon it happens. Now we make the next 45 ours and see what comes of it.

It is not a boo hoo, it is the obvious thing IMO. The team has been poor for since late Dec, we lost dynamic when Ramsey got injured and made worst with Wenger persistent playing Ozil and Jack (two off form players) in midfield. These two just can't handle the high pressing, we saw it against Soton and seeing it again today.

Jesus Christ...I am genuinely lost for words. That was an absolute abomination...not one of our players can walk off there with there heads held high. A rating of 2 all round, pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong, Defence all over the place, Midfield non existence, Attack non existence, 2nd to every ball, weak, slow, just plain awful.

I am also getting the impression we did ZERO preparation on the Liverpool before the game. There front 4 absolutely tore us to pieces, the sad thing is every time they go forward they look like they are going to score.

tbf when did we ever prepare for an opponent, as in try to nullify their strengths and capitalise on their weaknesses?

This has nothing to do with Merts and Kos, it's to do with allowing yards of space on the flanks and providing no support from the middle. Two centre backs can't defend on their own against 3 pacey front men, that much is obvious.

Id take ozil, arteta and Montreal off - all 3 have been NONEXISTENT out there. I would drop them for the effort they have out in so far - the rest of them aren't to far behind. Is there even a point in tuning in the 2nd half!?

Well, clutching at straws here, a striker wouldn't have helped out too much today with that defending.

No but a decent non-Injured midfielder would've been a good start to maintaining some kind of strength.

Yep. Offensively Liverpool are not that far off Man City IMHO. I watched them against both City & Chelsea away and they were very good in both of those games offensively. We def need to pick ourselves after today because we are by no certain for a top 4 finish.

Yeah they have a potent attack, their defence was weakened today but it has looked like we're the ones with the weakened defence, we've been terrible at the back, given the ball away constantly in midfield and have had no threat up front, the Liverpool defence have Giroud in their pocket.

Got to say Liverpool's attacks have been really pacey, once again it shows you the merits of pacey football over the pass pass approach....our passing approach has been a liability, we've continuously given the ball away.

We have the same of players, in fact we have more runners but we never use them. Everything has to be pedestrian, just the the way Wenger wants it.
