You know as well as I do that if we'd got the result Chelsea got last night Zim (and others) would have been saying we bottled it and . They were notably silent last night. Predictable they pipe up tonight.
I'm not defenting tonight's result or peformance at all, that's not the point I'm making.

feel just as deflated as i did after the twenty minutes of watery diarreah at Anfield, again like against Chelsea despite the fact that all our best chances fell the way of Giroud and he couldn't convert and despite that Wenger didn't have the presence of mind to bring Podolski on says something. If you don't rate Podolski sell him, i think you shouldn't be playing a player 130k a week and then benching him.....
It just seems counter-intuitive to me that we are going to commemorate nine years without a trophy by awarding the manager with a new contract. I think he should be awarded a contract but not a three year-extension, i think it needs to be a rolling contract which is reviewed at the end of each season by whether we have won something.
It occurs to me that people even on this message board don't see it as a massive problem that we haven't won anything for Nine years, because the league cup and the fa cup are looked down upon and the others are seen as inaccessible. One a trophy is a trophy and two the other competitions are only as inaccessible as the manager of the team makes them.
