As confirmed by @LeGrove @arseblog the bid for M'Vila wasn't accepted. #AFC interest within Serie A today...

For #AFC, Almunia WILL stay, Bendy loan move viable and Squillaci talks with French club- hence #Arsenals 2CB interest

Apparently we've just lodged a third bid for Cahill. Bolton hasn't responded yet. I think were (for once) erring on the side of caution over vermealens ablity to remain fit.

If that's true I expect to see 3CBs coming in. Kos has proved again he's 4th choice at best and you can write Djourou off, he's had enough chances. Squid going would be excellent news. It would send a message to the players, don't expect more than a year of you aren't good enough. Unless you name is Almunia - could we really find no way to shift him on?

You can't prepare for life without if you never had him.

No way we'll sign 3, I'll be delighted if we get 2 quality ones though.

Almunia must be on pretty high wages seeing as he was first choice for years. Can't imagine anyone would match those wages - maybe Wenger feels it's best to keep him on as 3rd/4th choice which to be fair will make him a decent backup option that far down the pecking order.
