Harsh on Giroud after he grabbed the match winner by scoring a goal that every top striker, past and present, has been admiring.
Maybe Giroud has cut out all the whoring around and has got back to football. Great if true. But apart from the goal, which was superb, I think he played like a guy who has not cut out the whoring around and has not got back to football.
But. That leaves Sanogo. So Bif it is then.
Don't know much about Hull, do they have a pacey wide man on the left? If so, Monreal must not play. Even Fabianski would be a better option at LB. But if Hull has a plodder out there then Nacho can cope.
Ozil hattrick I would think.
3-0
Yay - team is starting to take shape again. Players coming back. It's amazing to think injuries to all our top players affected our performances but, strange as it seems, that appears to be the case.

I think Giroud was atrocious before the goal, and he wasn't that great afterwards....we rule out the idea of playing Podolski up front because we think we need someone to hold up the ball, we really don't....all we need is a bit of pace on the flanks, Ox on the left...Rosicky on the right (still has the ability to motor forward on the break)...Cazorla in the middle....and all kinds of service to feed on.

"After all, it was the Gunners’ goalkeeper who started the move that culminated in Thomas’ crowning glory. It was Lukic who, in injury time, decided to throw the ball out to Lee Dixon rather than lump it long..."
Montreal is a liability these days and cannot get anywhere near the first team. Vermaelen can do a job there and is a better defender.
No.....I think we rule it out because the several times he has played in the central role he has been absolutely woeful almost every time. Totally anonymous which is a risk we can't afford right now. Giroud is no Pele but he has scored 20 goals playing in that role and had games when he didn't score this season but still had a significant contribution with good assists.
Podolski has only really played a true central role on a regular basis for Cologne and I think that is telling...
Its kind of counter intuitive, but Pods has shown lately that maybe Wenger is right about him not playing enough to his potential to start. If he can recreate his intensity against West Ham - he deserves to start. But I would want to see 3 or 4 similar performances to see him as a consistent match winner.
