Arteta WAS a good player but what's he been up to in the last couple of years? This would be a desperate disappointment if we ended up with this guy in the team and £50mill stuck in the bank. Well not disappointing for certain old farts in the office I suppose.

He can take a set piece as well so worth it just for that tbh.
I agree, but then none of our signings are our 1st choices, at this stage can we really sign those types of players and even if we could would we be willing to part with the cash needed.
I think we've reached the stage where we're just signing players to make do rather than to make us a force again.
