When you watch Arsenal play in the PL, we get kicked for pillar to post and the refs just watch it happening. Eearsenil don't like it up 'em. Queers who want to play football. Soft southern pansies who don't understand kicking the man instead of the ball. Think all the way back, Reyes being kicked off the pitch, Rooney diving in the box. That's what the past glories in this league have been built on. And 10 years of laughing at us because we have no plan B, basically lumping the ball the length of the pitch, and no trophies. We'd have had a lot more of those trophies if we played in a decent league where football was the primary focus.

At college we once embarrassingly got done 4-2 by a bunch of 40-50 year olds from the local pub. Guys who couldn't move so good any more but knew how to make the ball do the work. We huffed and puffed and struck all the right poses, but they just passed us to death. I can see Italy bringing a 50 year old Pirlo out of retirement just for the England game, because it works every time against us. Because our whole culture is Martin Samuel.
We actually said after the Italy game - great effort lads, we made Italy play well. That's supposed to be a positive. Like saying, hell, normally they beat us without getting out of bed, but this time they had to try. Things are looking up. It's embarrassing and it's also why it's impossible to get behind this team. Flags and queens and Winston Churchill aren't enough of bribe to make up for huff and puff Gerrard or media hyped Rooney or the donkey derby going on at the back or the hairspray keeper. Who could support it? The same bastards who have been kicking shit out of Arsenal year after year. Fuck 'em. The only downside is the media win either way. Now they get to slaughter everyone bar themselves. They are chief among culprits but they'll conveniently forget how it's been themselves who have used the airwaves and print to bury us in their prehistoric vision of "the best league in the world".
You watch them gloat if "gutsy" Palace hoof their way to a result against us in the season kick off. Watch them purr if Maureen serves up another defensive obliteration of football. They saw another possibility during the opening game against Italy and immediately wet their knickers for their old hyped pal Rooney. Who is going to hold them to account for this shambles?
