Same could be said for a few of those players who turned out against the Red Bulls. As always, it has to be qualified because it was an early pre-season friendly, so fitness levels, getting back into the training regime all has to be factored in. But some of those players looked woeful nonetheless. I don't think Jenks is top of the list when we are talking about who's not up to standard. There are other candidates.

It's called an opinion, albeit one that differs to your own on the subject. Yes, I'm fully aware there's another side to the coin. Are you claiming that's what Jenks is trying to do?

Two sides to a coin. I think back to players like Almunia and Bendy for that situation.

For sure, don't get me wrong...I actually think he is alright as a player, it's just I don't trust him yet, certainly not to perform consistently at a high level or even have an extended run in the team.

I do feel he would be better judged if he had a season out on loan in PL. Moreover once Chambers arrives, Jenks is 3rd choice right back, he will get practically no game time here.

Jenkinson needs to be sent out on loan, otherwise he's just going to drift off into obscurity. It's fairly clear game time is going to be extremely limited for him here.

In all honesty I only see him as a fanboy at the moment, not someone who will contribute to our season on the pitch.
