Not only did those arabs get let off FFP, now they are calling the shots on the rules. If UEFA was so worried about the champions being "fairly" represented in their "champions" league then why not have a competition with just champions?

the champions league should be champions only, I agree. it would then probably mean money is more evenly distributed around the clubs and also that the players don't only ever play for the CL clubs. And because of the Champions League, the only way for non big clubs like Chelsea and City to participate is for them to be taken over by the mega rich.Originally Posted by Niall_Quinn

CL is about money we all know that and let's not forget it's partly down to the big clubs threatening to form their own league if they don't get enough money (we're one of those clubs).
I agree the CL should be for Champions, but the big clubs won't allow it to happen as it's a cash cow for them, you can't just blame UEFA for this, making the champions top seeds does at least make sense, I don't see why a team coming 3rd or 4th in a league should be seeded higher.
This of course will now mean we'll have more difficult groups which judging by our recent performances we'll struggle to get out of
