NQ’s comments can definitely be taken with a pinch of salt but it’s premature to jump out of the window with the praise for Wenger. We’ve changed formation but tactically, that game doesn’t tell me much about our new direction or even if there is one. A better defensive performance. That’s good to see but we still had that moment when we conceded and committed too many men forward and got hit on the counter. Against City, it’s expected that we see less of the ball and will be forced to defend deep but when up against teams that will let us have the ball, I see us still getting sucker punched.

Also, besides the defence, nobody really stepped up to the plate besides the usual suspects. Ramsey, Xhaka, Ozil and Giroud were still average. Wenger still chose to play Giroud and not Alexis or even Walcott knowing that they’d be open to the counter attack…..I’m not convinced we’ve worked out the team selection issue. As for motivation, it’s a semi final against Man City in the only comp we have a chance of winning. I’m holding back on the praise because this one game doesn’t tell me enough. Heck, we’ve beaten Pep’s team twice this season, narrowly lost 2-1 and drew 2-2.

It's all quite silly to me.
Over time more and more people have moved to the "Wenger Out" point of view.
But those who were there a few years ago haven't stayed where they were. It's not enough for them now to want Wenger out, they always have to get more and more extreme in their views.
Now he's "the worst manager in football", good results are nothing to do with him (although bad results are), they backdate their views and claim he's been failing for 10 years, despite being quite happy for him to sign a new contract a few years ago. And some have even questioned the glory days under him - he inherited a good defence, he got lucky, whatever.

#WengerOut, but let's keep a bit of perspective. I don't think anyone has been overboard in praise for Wenger after Sunday's result.

Nothing you've said is unreasonable, we are still very far from fixed in any way shape or form.

But generally speaking if he's responsible for when things go badly, he must equally be responsible when things go well not so bad

We are of course no where near to turning a corner.....but at the same time I think all of us expected us to lose on Sunday and the fact that we didn't was down to no small element of game management (although yes just one game).

I actually didn't expect us to lose on Sunday, didn't expect us to win either, it always seemed quite hard to call - it was two not that good sides who can't defend well.

I do expect us to lose in the Final.

Don't thine NLD is a given loss either, I don't think we'll win but we could get a point.

Yeah, that's bullshit and I don't agree with that point.
