Sounds like the board is going to cave and try to save some face by "demanding" Wenger spends some money in the window. Only at Arsenal, the owners demanding the manager spends money. Apparently, according to the either made up or leaked press stories, Wenger will be "instructed" to get the transfer deals done quickly and efficiently so we aren't scrambling at the tail end of the window. Not exactly a smack down.
Big shame that Wenger didn't announce he was off in advance of the cup final. He would have got a memorable send off from 99% of the fans. Instead we remain in the dark. Not just about Wenger's position but also Alexis, Ozil, Ox and the increasing talk of Monreal heading out the door, which would be a shame considering he's one of our most reliable players.
