Seems like he has a solid record but it's a different league. I respect what they do other in La Liga but I think buying a defender from another league is risky for a January window. I'd prefer Reid. This guy might be really good given time but I think he'll struggle in our backline. The language barrier is another issue.

Valid point about the English thing but I think he'll be able to pick enough of it up in a few months to at least communicate at a basic level with his team mates. The Martin Odegaard transfer is a new low in football, £80,000 per week for a 16 year old kid who has been in the professional game for a grand total of one year and played a whopping 23 times in the Norwegian (who?) league. There's nothing this kid could have possibly done to warrant a fraction of that. Every bastard who can kick a ball is a "wonderkid" these days but the only wonder is where the game is going to end up and how much the fans will have to eventually fork over for the privilege of watching these children.
