But you only really need one of two great players in a team to win the league. You just need a competent first XI and manger to compliment them.

Chelsea had Hazard & Costa in the years they won it. Citeh with Aguero & Yaya. Leicester with Vardy & Mahrez etc etc

I don't rate xhaka at all, not as a prem player. Koscielny has always been inconsistent. Ramsey lacks positional sense. Cech is too old now. And I'm really not 100% sold on any of our front men, though haven't seen enough of lacazette to pass judgement. It's just not enough.

I was really hoping for a major overhaul this summer to rethink the side, but should've known better with the old goat in charge that was never going to happen. But I genuinely don't think any manager in the world would win the league with our current squad.

We are a good 3-4 players short of being remotely competitive.

Lacazette looks quite competent. But it won't make any difference.

The top managers go and buy a whole new spine when the squad goes stale. Wenger just digs in and adds pointless frills around the edges. He's a fool, a genuine fool.

Nobody said anything about him being the best player today, except you. But, in an absolute shambles that has absolutely nothing to do with him, he was far from the worst. You're expecting one player to somehow draw together a shambles like that and make something of it. It's so unreasonable and unrealistic it's crazy to be even talking about it.

Xhaka has been a huge mistake. We already know that Ramsey just bombs forward with no common sense. Xhaka falls into that same bracket because he'll bomb forward to try and tackle instead of holding up the play. Ozil is just overrated but people aren't ready to hear that. Need a major shakeup with all three out of the line up.
