But how stupid of a player must you be to not know you're being taught wrong at his age? It's been years now and he hasn't learned. It's not as if he can't watch others teams and see that it's not the way to play as a midfielder. It's not as if he's being asked to do something beyond him like having to learn how to pass or score. I think he wants to play that role. He plays in a similar way for Wales, with the manager compensating, of course, which is what we lack at Arsenal. And Henry mentioned the comfort zone too. When you get into a pattern, or a rut, and you get used to things over a long period of time then they become normal. Many of these players have been institutionalised.
